3b - view shared trail cameras, photos and videos
Once someone shares their cameras with you and approves you (see 3a — Ask others to invite you), their content appears automatically in your own navigation — you don't need to import or set up anything:
Media — the shared photos and videos, alongside any of your own.
Cameras — the shared cameras themselves.
Just open those sections and you'll find everything that's been shared with you ready to browse.
What you can do with shared content depends on the rights you were given. The person sharing decides your permission level, so two people viewing the same camera can have different abilities. Depending on what the owner grants, you might be able to:
View only — browse the photos and videos without changing anything, or
Interact and edit — for example like or favourite photos, correct the detected species or the animal count, and in some cases delete items.
If you find you can't do something — you can't change a species, say, or delete a photo — it's because the owner hasn't granted you that level of access. Just ask them to adjust your permissions if you need more.
Viewing shared content is always free — no credits or Manager plan required.
