5 - Import photos and videos from an SD card

If your camera doesn't send by email — or you just want to pull a card after a trip — you can import captures straight from the SD card in the Import / Export section of the web app.

Desktop only: Import / Export is available on a desktop computer — it is not available on mobile or tablet. (That's also where you'll have an SD card reader.)

1. Insert the SD card. Put the card into your computer's SD card reader (or a USB adapter).

2. Open Import / Export. In the navigation, go to Import / Export and choose Import.

3. Select your files. Drag and drop your photos and videos into the import area, or click to browse and pick them from the card. The importer accepts:
   - up to 100 files at a time
   - photos up to 5 MB — JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC
   - videos up to 20 MB — MP4, MOV, WebM
   Metadata (date, time, etc.) is read from each file automatically.
   

4. Choose the camera. Under Link files to camera, pick which camera these belong to — an existing one, or create a new one.

5. Preview, then confirm. You'll see a preview of the selected items and can decide exactly which ones to import before confirming.

6. Credits are required. Imported files are run through AI animal and antler detection, so importing uses credits — 1 credit per photo and 10 credits per video, the same as any other detection.

Make sure your balance has enough credits to cover the batch before you confirm; otherwise the import can't be completed.
